Saturday Photo Hunt #22 - Hobby

Tennis is one of my favorite sports. Summer is the best time to play tennis outdoor in Vancouver. And there are a lot free outdoor tennis courts in local communities. But you have to be there earlier than other tennis fans:-) Now it's still a little bit too cold to play outside, plus it's still raining season in Vancouver. My dear summer, can you come here fast?

Tennis anyone?

Oh what a huge effort I put out to try this sport! The players on TV make it look resonably easy..HA!
Hope you can get out and play soon :)

Great shot! I used to love to play tennis in school. Now we have a court here in our condo, but I never seem to get around to playing...

My husband loves tennis...I am still trying to figure out why anyone would want to run and hit ball at the same time when you can just either run and hit pins with a ball!

It's been years and years since I picked up a tennis racket but I used to enjoy playing when I was younger. Come to think of it, I used to like to do a lot of things when I was younger that I can't do now!

Your photo is great! I forget about tennis, i admire anyone who can keep the ball going for more than 30 seconds! Have a great weekend!

Do you remember a video or book from a long time ago called "The Game of Inner Tennis?" The author recommended you learn to play tennis using the method of "bounce, hit". When the ball bounced you said "bounce" and when it was hit by anyone you said "hit". Supposedly this helped you keep your eye on the ball and concentrate....

But it didn't work on me.

Tennis is a great sport! I enjoyed watching the tennis players playing against each other, but have yet to try it out myself.

Have an enjoyable weekend!

Hey,
I live in Vancouver, too. Still a bit cold for tennis, but some lovely sunny days and the blossoms are beautiful. If you drop by my blog you will see some of my photos around Granville Island where I walk with a group every Thursday and post pictures to my blog

My father has been playing tennis since high school. He tried to get me to play but it involves too much running around. LOL! He says I wouldn't run around as much if I could hit the ball.

We were lazy so instead of taking on tennis we took on ping-pong herr.. sorry let me be politically correct here, we prefered to call it table tennis. We had lots of fun. I went to see some friends of mine play tennis once and the ball they were playing with somehow found my cheeck. Ouch! That hurt!

That is a fabulous photo!! I took a tennis class in college, but am still not very good. It's a great workout, though, because I spend most of my time chasing after balls I miss!

I'm late getting to visit photo hunters this week.

I took a class in tennis once but never quite got the hang of it -- I am terribly uncoordinated and unathletic. But it looks like great exercise and a fun thing to do with a friend.
