Saturaday Photo Hunt - Steps
Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Vancouver's most popular and oldest tourist attractions. It was originally built in 1889, stretches 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. Breathe in the cedar-scented rainforest air as you make your cautious steps across Vancouver's famous landmark. Capilano Suspension Bridge will take you to the natural splendor of rainforest trails through magnificent evergreens. I took these photos in the summer of 2005 when I went there with my classmates.

Hi there. Had thought of putting up something similar to what you did. Am glad I didn't!
BTW, welcome to Photo Hunt! Also, I take it that you DID go on to that very lengthy looking suspension bridge? :)
Oh Wow, what a wonderful bridge...scary too. Great shot.
How badly does it sway? How many steps does it take to get across? I bet you will be one to visit that new glass observation platform that hangs out over the grand canyon.... Great picture even if it does make me feel like I'm on a boat in the ocean. Wow!
wow..such beauty i dont mean the bridge but the natural scenery wow wow wow
Cool bridge. If we were going on that i know someone would be trying to make it swing back and forth:P
Nice bridge and great shots. I bet a few heart beats are skipped crossing that bridge. Happy weekend.
Oh no thank you! I don't do well with heights at all and this looks awfully high up there!
We have several hanging bridges in the Philippines. But this one's kind of longer and higher. Scarier yeah.
I don't think I could do it, especially with a lot of other people on there, even knowing in my head it is safe.
Good picture for today!
I could NEVER, I repeat, N E V E R do that. I have photos of my son on the famous suspension rope bridge in Northern Ireland and it freaks me out. YUCK! heeheee.
Oh my goodness !! There are too MANY people on there at once. I wouldn't be able to do it!!! Great photos but NO THANK YOU!
YIKES. You all went over together, and nobody thought that it would collapse! It is totally beautiful but I am faint-hearted and would not be able to do it! You are brave.
That looks scary. Would not want to go there.
That's a lot of steps!
That bridge would probably have me whimpering for 20 minutes before, and 40 minutes after (if I actually got the nerve to step on it)... do they have medical facilities nearby?
Gorgoeus. I was impressed with Vancouver as a kid, I want to go back!
Gord and I were there in the summer of 2005 too! It was very cool! We climbed around the treetops on the other side too.
Pls. pardon my very late visit. I've never been there but it seems like a great place to visit someday. Thanks for sharing.
