A Book for Dog Lovers

We have two lovely dogs at home and they always give us a lot of love and fun, I have always wonder why and how dogs became man's best friend. I am looking for a dog book to tell me the answers. Today I discovered a book named "The Pawprints of History", a book about dogs and the course of human events by Stanley Cohen. I think that this book is a wonderful gift idea for either a history fan or a dog lover.
