Saturday Photo Hunt #23 - Rare
We had a road trip to Okanagan in the summer of 2006. The views on the way to there are amazing. We passed by a couple of beautiful lakes and forests. We had a lot of fun and plan to do it again this year if time permits. I picked this photo because I think the blue of the lake is RARE - uncommon. What do you think?

Wow, that is breathtaking!
Rare to see something so beautiful.
Lovely! I have only seen one other really blue lake in CA -- they said the color had to do with the minerals there.
COOL!!! amazing view!!! the water is so enticing!
really lovely view. I certainly don't know many lakes with that kind of blue water! Well done.
Absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing.
it seems I am saying this a lot today, but WOW!
i dont know about the blue being rare but it is a beautiful shot. makes me wish I could be there :)
Oh what a beautiful photo! Ah, what I wouldn't give to be there right now.
You are right this is a rare form of blue... gorgeous shot!
I agree, it is a gorgeous blue, with a hint of green that makes it jewel-like!
The lake's name, Kalamalka means "Many colored waters" in the First Nations (Indian) language. The vareigated hues of blue and blue green make this breathtakingly beautiful. As a child, I learned to swim in this lake. --Barry N
